Welcome to the May 1996 issue of the Durham Region ScanText.
Sorry that there wasn't a April issue. I had some personal issues
that had to be taken care of, plus I have been playing with some projects
that included upgrading my BBS and looking forward to a new system.
New this month is the addition to the Marine frequency information and
the worldwide shortwave frequencies. I decided that for the time being,
I would include all three packages into one package. If in the near or
far future the issue gets too big, I will seperate them again. I wanted
you to have everything in one package. I have include the 4 - 12 MHz
maritime bands. The remainder will be added for the next issue. Next
on the list is the USNavy shortwave frequencies and some US Government
Agency freq's.
With in the next few issues, there will be a few changes in format, plus
a lot of new information will be added. Thanks to a great friend, I have
a list of active licenses for all of Canada from the Industrial Canada
computer system. This I know will be a slow process, but will be well
worth it. Also the frequency information in the issue and on the online
and SQReq service will be switched to CAPITALIZATION.
At the end of this month's issue, you will be able to read about two new
services provided for you by Space Lodge BBS - LodgeWare. ScanQuery (SQ)
and ScanQueryRequest (SQReq), I hope will provide faster and up-to-date
information for your access.
That's it.... I hope you will make use of this month's issue of Durham
Region's ScanText, which includes the Worldwide Shortwave listing.
